The Winstead Inn and Beach Resort are sister properties owned and operated by long-time innkeepers David Plunkett and Gregg Winston. The Beach Resort is set in the dunes on Nantucket Sound. It features wrap-around porches and distinctive castle-like turrets topped by waving flags. Nearly every room offers an ocean view. Listen to the sounds of beach life while lounging in chairs on our sun deck. Settle under an umbrella and enjoy a good book. Stroll the endless beach and gather shells or fly a kite in the summer breeze. As the day turns to evening take in nature's best show - sunsets in yellows, reds and oranges. The Winstead Inn is a newly renovated Gothic Victorian located in town. Situated on tree-lined Parallel Street, the Inn is one block off Main Street and a about a mile from Route 28. It is surrounded by a large green lawn, lush gardens and trees. Enjoy a family swim in our private pool. Pull up a rocker on the front porch and watch the world go by or walk to town for shopping and a bite to eat. Ride a bike on the old railroad trail and enjoy back country views of salt marshes, kettle ponds, cranberry bogs and sea pines stretching all the way to Wellfleet.
